What is the health care provided in the country and is it necessary to take any special vaccination?
There is no vaccination required for travelling to Tunisia. Health care is on a much higher level than in the other countries of the region or in Africa in general and its network is sufficient, especially in urban areas and in the places with high concentration of foreign tourists. Despite the above, it is recommended to have adequate medical supplies with you prior to entering the country. For those travelling alone and for tourists it is highly recommended to arrange for commercial travel health insurance. It is also recommended to pay extra attention to one’s personal hygiene, especially to washing hands. Be careful when eating raw fruit and vegetables. It is also better to drink purchased bottled water. Do not forget to pack a well-equipped travel first-aid kit containing common medicine.
